Jaigarh Fort is a massive fortress built in 1726 by Sawai Jai Singh II to protect the nearby Amer Fort. It is located on Cheel ka Teela, which means “Hill of Eagles.” The fort is about 15 kilometers from Jaipur and is known as the “Fort of Victory” because it was never conquered.

This fort is famous for Jaivana, the world’s largest cannon on wheels. The strong sandstone walls stretch for over 3 kilometers, making it one of the strongest forts in Rajasthan. Jaigarh Fort is connected to Amer Fort through hidden underground passages.

From the top, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of Jaipur and the Aravalli hills. The fort was also believed to have a hidden treasure, but it was reportedly taken by the government in the 1970s.

Today, Jaigarh Fort stands as a symbol of Rajput strength and history. If you love forts, weapons, and history, this is a must-visit place in Jaipur!
